Hello Tiger family!
My name is Ivette Munoz. I am honored to be the Principal of 153rd Street Elementary
and Dual Language School. Welcome to the 2024 - 25 school year. This is my 20th year with LAUSD as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and district administrator. Elementary school is where a child’s academic foundation is built. High quality instruction is essential in preparing our children for a bright future. I am committed to ensuring we provide top notch instruction and innovative learning experiences that ignite students' curiosity while helping them grow socially. Our exceptional teachers and staff strive to create a supportive and academically rigorous learning environment to help students achieve their potential.
School and home share the responsibility of educating children. Your active involvement and participation in your child’s education is pivotal to having a successful school year. Please ensure your child attends school every day, is on time and is present for the entire school day. We offer various levels of communication to keep you updated on the school’s instructional program and your child’s educational progress.
